Why We Hate HR

Do you hate HR?  The gap between competency and job requirements is widening for HR professionals.  According to Keith Hammonds at Fast Company, most HR organizations "have ghettoized themselves literally to the brink of obsolescence."  Do most HR organizations "get it"? – in one word – NO.  They want (and need) to be more shareholder value to the organization but lack the tools, capabilities and understanding of what it means to be strategic innovators.  Instead of wanting to be "invited to the table" they should be focused on proving why they should be there!

I am surprised a reputable title, such as Fast Company, has stooped so low as to produce such a amateurish article as the one Mr Hammonds has produced. This is under-graduate level journalism which fails to base any real insight beyond the personal experiences of Mr Hammonds and the handful of people with whom he has spoken.
