Fear and Loathing At The Airport…

That is the cover story in this week’s BusinessWeek that I just stumbled across in the Minneapolis airport.  What amazing irony as that is how I am exactly feeling at this moment.  I just missed my flight to Boston.   As a result, I am headed to Detroit, staying overnight for about 5 hours, and jumping on the first flight that gets into Boston at 8AM.  To make things worse, I’ve got 2 hours to drive home, change my clothes, and get on a noon flight to San Francisco.  Can the government please stop bailing out these buffoons and demand the market correct itself?

    Jason!

    A fellow traveler!

One could tell countless stories… And the amazing part about all of it is people give you bad newswith a straight face.

I was on a connecting flight in Atlanta… Long story short – the toilet broke.

    “Please get off the plane.”

    We did.

Then I started doing the math… Should I drive the three hours or wait 4 and hopefully get on the plane.

I waited with what I thought was a ticket.

It wasn’t a ticket. I didn’t have a seat… But was able to “sweet talk” my way on the plane…

The stories we will tell our grand kids some day…
