Workday Acquires Cape Clear

Today, Workday announced the acquisition of Cape Clear Software.  Cape Clear is an enterprise service bus (ESB) and, since the beginning, has been Workday’s integration layer.  With this acquisition, Workday is announcing a new offering called Integration On-Demand, that is destined to simplify integration with Workday applications.

What makes this acquisition interesting is that Workday is not only saying “…yes we can integrate”, just like every other vendor out there, they are actually providing a path for integration.
