The RightThing Acquires AIRS

Yesterday, The RightThing announced the acquisition of AIRS.  For those of you outside of the recruiting world, you may not know either of these vendors.  For those of you that do know both vendors, you will know this is truly a great combination.  The RightThing is a recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) firm with a great client list.  AIRS, on the other hand, is known to most every recruiter due to its training heritage.  The company more recently has developed some innovative sourcing tools (SourcePoint).

What make this acquisition unique?  It brings together strong service delivery with innovative tools and training — a proverbial one-stop-shop for all recruitment needs.

The RightThing is calling it “technology-enabled services”.   What does this mean?  Service providers adding technology to compliment their services but also selling those tools and technologies separately, if needed.  This is something near and dear to my heart as we have developed a similar model at Knowledge Infusion with the Center of Excellence.

In the end, its all about enhancing the client relationship and selling solutions to clients that address individual needs.  Nice work to the folks at The RightThing and AIRS.

I concur with your analysis, Jason. Two top notch firms with complimentary services so the sum of the parts is a stronger offering still. Nice acquisiion for the guys over at RTI.
